It was a great night, they have heat lamps outside and a sushi bar. Kitchen closes at 9:15p but dessert station and bar is open til midnight. I loved the food and it was good portions The bill was $288 for two. We had three drinks, two appetizers and two entrées. View by the water, nice nighttime vibes. $15 valet. Guests are so nice and friendly here. Nice area! The lamb chops were OK but the plate of veggies it came with was so amazing. Asparagus, onion and more! The scallops could've been a little little more warmer, but the flavor was delicious and I kept going back for more. The temporary lobster was the best thing on the plate and a great mouth. The tiger shrimp so juicy and big and I love the sauce it came in.

Nobu's is my go to spot for sushi! The service is always outstanding--attentive (just enough and not overwhelming) friendly, and genuinely welcoming. The sushi is always delicious and beautifully presented. My favorite is the yellowtail with jalapeño and the king crab tempura. I would highly recommend this spot to all sushi lovers!

We took our daughter for her 21st birthday. Food was great, service was incredible and the view was so beautiful! It was our first time at a Nobu and our waiter was very helpful! It was a perfect night!

I love this Nobu more than any of the other locations. We had the cutest waiter and the best service today. I ate so much! My favorites were the salmon with nashi pear and of course the gluten free new style salmon sashimi and spicy tuna with crispy rice. This is a definite MUST DO and make sure you sit outside overlooking the yachts. I want to eat sashimi all day long!!

Nobu Newport Beach, located in the downtown area, reservations required on most nights. Went to Nobu with a group this evening over spring break. I started out with the old fashioned which didn't disappoint. The taste was crisp and refreshing and not too overpowering. The yellowtail with jalapeño was delicious with a kick. We had several orders of this. Overall, it's Nobu right? The food is timeless and delicious no matter what you order. The service is always impeccable whether it's California, vegas, or elsewhere. The staff is attentive and eager to assist and the chefs do a phenomenal job with the entrees and sushi. Tonight didn't disappoint, as it never does. Great job to the chefs and staff for a great experience as always.

We came back for another birthday dinner, and this time we were seated outside. Personally I think seating outside was a bit better because it was a bit quieter, even when it is a packed night. Our servers were all great. Our server though must have not heard one of the appetizers we ordered so I asked another employee about it when I realized we never ended up getting it - but our server came out and apologized about it. Love Nobu for their amazing food and ambiance! *lychee martini *sunset spritzer *spicy edamame *shishito peppers *prime ribeye truffle *junmai sake *black cod *rock shrimp tempura *chilean sea bass *salmon avocado cut *lobster tempura (open hot grill - spicy garlic) *tai sweet shish *salmon nashi *whitefish dry miso *toro carpaccio *yellowtail jalapeno *date cake

Amazing food and great atmosphere!! Andrew was the most amazing waiter, knows the menu so well and recommended such great dishes. 10/10 must go here.

Okay, so yes this place is expensive, and my thought was it's because of the name and location. And while this is partially true, it is the service that truly differentiates Nobu, as it creates an experience that isn't forgotten. What I mean by this is that the service staff can curate a meal based on your budget, food preferences, and style of dining (family vs individual plates). We decided to go with this route, and were presented with a variety of dishes, from fresh fish, to fine cuts of steak, all complemented by side dishes as well. Everything was upheld to a high standard of quality, which is appreciable. You leave full (which was one of my main worries) and satisfied. Would I come back, yes, but definitely for a more special occasion type of night.
